In Mexico’s Ascension Bay on the Yucatan Peninsula and deep through wilderness dirt roads, anglers can find The Palometa Club.
Palometa means permit, and The Palometa Club is the world’s only permit-focused lodge. However, anglers are not restricted to permit, as there is plenty of opportunity for bonefish, tarpon, and snook (among many other species) as well.

For grand slam seekers, The Palometa Club is an excellent bet, as permit fly fishing is their specialty, and permit are widely considered the most tricky of the grand slam flats fish. Got your permit in the morning? See what other salty critters you can catch before the sun sets!
The Palometa Club has a website rich with content including incredible flats photography. To check out their website, please click here.
