MONTROSE, Colo. (September 1, 2026) — The Scott Fly Rod Company is pleased to announce the introduction of their new GT and Swing models.
GT Series
Building on the success of the Scott GT Series launched in December 2025, Scott has designed new additions to the lineup for 2026.
GT 7104/4, 7′ 10″ 4-weight 4 pc $1,195
A small water 4-weight oozing with feel and some real magic. Loops come off the tip and middle of the rod with ease and accuracy. There’s ample line speed to handle some wind, yet it’s soft enough to enjoy the pull of small fish.
Recommended line weight: 115-125 grains.
GT 7105/4, 7′ 10″ 5-weight 4 pc $1,195
There are too few sub-8‘ 5-weights in the world. Need proof? Cast this one. You’ll have an ear-to-ear grin on your face. Zippy line speed, tight loops, and the ability to drop a fly under cover or into the smallest pockets. Hoppers in grass-lined little streams anyone?
Recommended line weight: 140-150 grains.
GT 8107/4, 8′ 10″ 7-weight 4 pc with FB $1,195
We haven’t had a 7-weight in our moderate action G Series for many years. It’s time to change that. A great rod for big dries, terrestrials, and streamers on floating line. A deep loading blank and relaxed tempo create tons of feel in this rod. There’s also power to keep a fish out of the sticks or launch a popper to a far target.
Recommended line weight: 175-195 grains.

Swing
Scott adds a true two-handed trout rod to the Swing series.
SW 11424, 11′ 4″ 2-weight 4pc $1,395
A true trout swing rod from Scott. This rod will fish a small soft hackle on 5X or drop a skater on the opposite bank. Deep bending and oh so smooth, the loops roll off the rod tight and straight. This rod transmits nuanced feedback through each cast and every fish on the end of the line.
Recommended line weight: Scandi 180-210 grains, Skagit 200-240 grains.
Available September 1, 2026. GT models: MSRP $1,195 and new Swing: MSRP $1,395.
Every Scott fly rod is handcrafted in our shop in Montrose, Colorado, and is hand inscribed and given an individual serial number.
