From Simms:
BOZEMAN, Mont. — Simms was built on rivers. By guides. By fly shops. By the kind of anglers who don’t measure seasons in months, but in hatches. This summer, we’re bringing it back to them.
Introducing the Simms Working Wader Tour — a rolling commitment to the people and places that make fly fishing what it is. From June through September, a custom-built mobile service van will travel through Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, pulling up to local fly shops, guide operations, and fishing communities across the Rocky Mountain West.
The van arrives stocked and staffed — Simms-certified repair equipment, a crew of dedicated anglers, and the kind of hands-on gear diagnostics that don’t happen over a contact form. On-site wader and gear repair. Real conversations. No appointment necessary. And for repairs that can’t be completed in the field, the crew will help anglers get their gear back to Simms’ repair center in Bozeman for seamless service.
“You can learn a lot from a phone call, but nothing replaces showing up,” said Peter Markano, Community Leader at Simms. “Some of my favorite conversations happen in fly shops, in the rower’s seat of a drift boat, or in the parking lot after the boat’s on the trailer. The Working Wader Tour gives us an excuse to have more of those conversations — to spend time with the people who make fly fishing what it is and fish some of the best water in the country while we’re at it.”
Stop by. Have your gear looked at. Meet the crew. Talk fish. For tour dates, stop locations, and behind-the-scenes coverage all summer long, follow @simmsontheroad on Instagram.
