Video: Fly Fishing for Striped Bass and Bluefish in Martha’s Vineyard

For fly anglers, Martha’s Vineyard is known for striped bass and bluefish for than anything. And when a migration is happening, this destination can be one of the best out there for fly fishing. A video from Will Phelps follows anglers as they take on this fish and destination.

From Will Phelps:

“This was my first time ever targeting striped bass on the fly, and it totally exceeded my expectations. This was much to the credit of our fantastic guide, Capt. Natty Schneider with Kismet Outfitters. It was incredible to sight fish to schools of stripers cruising around the rocks and over the sandy bottom. We were lucky enough to encounter a blitz, with numerous stripers and bluefish feeding heavily on the surface as birds flocked around and came in feeding on baitfish from above. This experience changed my perspective on New England fly fishing, and I can’t wait to get back out there for some more!”
