If you’ve spent time fishing the coastal U.S., you’ve seen a degradation of ecosystems and fisheries. Of course, some areas have seen improvement that is generally the result of conservation efforts and regulations.
With waters warming, reefs dying, and oceans increasing absorbing toxins, it is more important than ever that anglers add being their voices to the table when policy is being reviewed. NOAA is currently updating the National Saltwater Recreational Fisheries Policy and seeking the input of the angling community. This is an important time to bring issues to their awareness and have our voices heard on policy that could make or break critical ecosystems.
