Review: The Bamboo Sherpa Fleece Quarter Zip from Free Fly

It’s hard to beat a good fleece, especially on cool summer evenings and throughout the colder months. A good fleece almost feels like a snug blanket at times. Fleeces aren’t just comfortable apparel, they can even be comforting. (Imagine a snowy night, log on the fire, hot cocoa.)

When we recently had a chance to check out the Bamboo Sherpa Fleece Quarter Zip from Free Fly Apparel, we were excited to see if this would be a favored piece for day-in and day-out causal wear. It is.

The Bamboo Sherpa Fleece Quarter Zip is a thick fleece that is impressively comfortable. Mostly a go-to for casual use, this fleece also works on cool days or under a shell on cold days. Note: It is thick, so that should be a consideration for anglers using this piece as technical apparel or a baselayer.

The Bamboo Sherpa Fleece Quarter Zip comes in Stormy Sea, Onyx, and Mustang colors and in sizes S through 3XL. In our experience, they are true to size — maybe slightly bigger (though that is subjective).
