All packs in the Guidewater collection were built to take a beating from the landing strip to the boat launch to the campsite. Burly, dependable and lightweight, the Guidewater collection has been carefully engineered and ruthlessly field-tested in both salt and fresh water. When even a little water can wreck your day, they deliver reliable protection, intuitive organization and comfortable all-day wear in the most unpredictable conditions. Made with lighter, stronger recycled fabrics and more storage options, the Duffel, Backpack, Sling and Hip Pack are fully submersible. The Disperser and Great Divider provide dependable, water-resistant, non-submersible protection.
“Fly anglers confront wet conditions and extreme weather all the time. It’s part of the game,” said Matt Millette, Patagonia Fly Fishing’s head of marketing. “Keeping gear dry and protected is crucial to a good day on the water. Our Guidewater collection nails on-the-water gear storage. Our cutting-edge, recycled materials are lightweight, tough and incredibly durable. They’re a key component of packs that are easy to use, easy to adjust and, like all great gear, they do what they’re supposed to do—no matter what.”
Here are the key features and innovations for our Guidewater packs.
Overnight floats, multiday explorations, bucket-list trips—sometimes you have to haul a lot of gear, and if you want it dry and protected when the going gets wet, haul it in the Guidewater Duffel 80L. Whether it’s tossed in the back of a pickup, stuffed under raft baffles or chucked into the hold of a floatplane, this pack is a dependable, go-everywhere, gear-swallowing monster.
