Redington has just announced the STRIKE rod family — a new series of rods designed for tight-line and Euro-style nymphing techniques.
This medium-fast action rod has numerous features that will appeal to anglers. For one, it is designed to have an extra sensitive-tip to support strike detection. Also, an extended handle accommodates increased reel selection while maintaining overall balance. Redington has also saved weight by minimizing paint use and using black single-foot guides.
The Redington STRIKE will come in five models. For 3-weight lines, there will be 10-, 10’6″, and 11′ rods, and for 4-weight lines, there will be 10′ and 11′ options. The rod will cost $299.99 and comes with a lifetime warranty.
