Famed Southwest Montana fly fishing guide Dan “Rooster” Leavens is the focus of a new video from Polaris and Simms.

“With a unique guiding style and a specialty of ‘fishing where there ain’t nobody’, Dan ‘Rooster’ Leavens has been a Simms Ambassador for the past 14 years. During this time, he has also been a key member of Simms’ R&D team and has field-tested too many products to count. Rooster believes that in order to pay the bills as a guide, you have to actually get out there and guide year round — a stance he backs up with his calendar. But just like all hard-working professionals, even Rooster takes a day off here and there. Our friends from Polaris recently took advantage of this rare occasion to not only see exactly how Rooster prefers to spend his spare time, but also to get a better sense of what it means to Fish It Well in Southwestern Montana.”
