From The Fly Shop:
Redding, California, August 6, 2019: The Fly Shop is thrilled to announce the hiring of Erik Argotti as an international fly fishing destination specialist.
Erik brings decades of fly fishing and travel experience to The Fly Shop. He spent 13 years guiding all over the Bristol Bay area of Alaska, chasing kings and silvers in tidewater as well as guiding fly-out fishing excursions to fisheries in and around Katmai National Preserve. He also guided in Argentina for a couple of seasons and spent months traveling, exploring and fly fishing many of the rivers, lakes and streams throughout the Patagonia region.
Erik spent two summers guiding trout anglers on the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia, and has lived and traveled extensively throughout New Zealand, pursuing both island’s wary browns and rainbows in crystal clear water.
He enjoys chasing steelhead in British Columbia and Alaska, as well as on the Olympic Peninsula, and is an avid photographer, having photos published in Fly Fish Journal, Fly Rod and Reel, Orvis, Pheasants Forever, and other sporting publications.
“Ultimately, my intense passion for fly fishing, travel, and photography are lifelong desires and I look forward to bringing my experiences to The Fly Shop team and helping fly fishers navigate the world of international fly fishing travel.”
