Simms Unveils a New Line of
Game Changing Gear and Apparel
Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 Push the Envelope of Fishing Focused Innovation

Bozeman, Mont. (for immediate release) – Since their beginning, Simms Fishing Products has remained committed to breaking boundaries and pushing the limit of innovation and technology in order to build the most trustworthy fishing gear on the planet. With the debut of their Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 lines at this year’s International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST) and International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD) shows, anglers across the globe can rest assured, Simms has once again remained true to their word.

With groundbreaking offerings across multiple categories, Simms’ latest product assortment takes the angling experience to new heights. “What can I say, since my tenure at Simms began late last year, I’ve been continually blown away with what our product team has brought to the table,” says Simms CEO, Casey Sheahan. “Simms is in a great place and I truly feel as though the company is firing on all cylinders — the Fall 18 and Spring 19 product collections are tangible proof of this true team effort.”

The Fall 18 Collection boasts many highlights but is led by the launch of River Camo across numerous categories.  Leaning on the expertise of camouflage developers from Veil Camo, Simms’ River Camo pattern combines solid camouflage principles with scientifically driven data and fuses it with mathematical ideas found in the form and chaos of the natural world. Specifically designed to allow anglers to go undetected and get one step closer to that perfect casting moment, Simms River Camo pattern is featured in the all new G3 Guide™ Bootfoot and Stockingfoot Waders (Made in the USA) and a freshly redesigned Bulkley Jacket. This revolutionary new camo pattern can also be found in fan favorites including the Intruder Bicomp, Rogue Fleece Hoody, Ebbtide LS Shirt, and the Solarflex® Crew and Hoody.

The ever-popular Challenger collection also expands with the addition of the Challenger Insulated Jacket and Bib. Constructed from a waterproof, breathable Toray® and lined with PrimaLoft® Silver insulation, this jacket and bib combo is going to become the new best friend for cold weather and hard-water anglers alike. The jacket and bib come fully loaded with popular features such as a center-front zippers and storm flaps, as well as a storm hood and hand warmer pockets.

To go beneath all of the great new outerwear pieces, Simms has also upped the ante in the layering category. The all new ExStream® Core Top built with heat generating Toray® Karushi® fabric, an ergonomic hood and integrated neck gaiter pairs perfectly with its counterpart, the ExStream® Core Bottom. Simms has also brought the Ultra-Wool Core Top, Bottom and Quarter-Zip to the table for anglers looking for a toasty, odor resistant wool option. Last but not least, Simms’ layer collection now includes a Fleece Midlayer Top, Bottom and Bib constructed with super soft, abrasion resistant fleece backed with an ultra-warm grid fleece lining.
Footwear gains two new members in the Riverbank Pull-On 14” and Chukka both of which make great companions for those looking for a rugged boot to take them from the truck to the bank to the boat, and back again. A waterproof vulcanized rubber and neoprene outer keeps feet bone dry while a grid-fleece lining keeps feet warm down to -40 degrees.

Simms has also introduced the be all, end all grab-and-go bag. Appropriately named, the Essential Gear Bag is the perfect option for those who like to keep all the gear they could possibly need during a day on the water organized and at the ready for those moment’s notice fishing sessions. This 90L bag features an easy-access main opening, side exterior zippered pockets, tuck away rod tube carriers and a zippered bottom compartment specifically designed to store wet waders and boots.

Finally, Fall 18 showcases the Stretch Woven Overall. This fishing focused overall accommodates anglers who want more than just a pair of pants while on deck. Utilizing 4-way stretch, water and wind-resistant fabric, and featuring tons of pockets and places to stash tools, this overall functions on deck and beyond. Finally, Simms has launched an all new line of gloves to keep anglers’ fingers and hands warm, dry and functional while fishing in the elements. Simms will also be showcasing their upcoming Spring 2019 line that will hit the market in January. Like the Fall line, Spring 19 stretches across all categories. In this line, consumers will see a completely revamped collection of Freestone® waders. Equipped with self-fabric gravel guards with gathered elastic bottom hems, all of the new Freestone® waders utilize new and improved 4-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ to greatly enhance durability as well as breathability. The collection includes a Men’s and Women’s Freestone® Stockingfoot, the Freestone® Pant and the Freestone® Z Stockingfoot built with a YKK Aquaseal® waterproof center-front zipper for easy on/off capabilities.

Constructed from an incredibly breathable and totally waterproof 3-layer Toray® fabric and equipped with popular features such as a stowable, 3-point adjustable storm hood, a storm flap, shingle cuffs, and kill-switch attachment points, both the Vapor® Elite Jacket and Pant will keep anglers protected from Mother Nature’s worst.

Once again, Simms’ sportswear collection has not only grown but pushes the envelope of fishing focused technology. Combining award-winning design with award-winning technology yields the new Tricomp Cool. With a tricomponent design approach, Simms’ product team uses different materials in different areas of the shirt to allow unhindered range of motion and complete comfort. To really take the Tricomp to the next level, Simms utilizes Coolcore® technology, a yarn level treatment that allows the surface temperature of the fabric to drop 30% when wet to keep anglers cool and in the moment on the hottest days. Cooling technology has also found its way into the SolarFlex® Cool Hoody and Crew.

Female anglers are going to love to see new colors in favorites from the past, but will also be excited to check out the all new Women’s Breeze Tunic. The Breeze Tunic features COR3™ technology that offers UPF 50 sun protection, moisture wicking performance and an anti-odor treatment. And with the help of Nilit® Breeze cooling yarn, fishing the tropics will become cooler than ever.
