Video: Fly Fishing the Coastal Bend After Hurricane Harvey in “Rockport Resilient”

Jeff and the team from Fly Fish Rockport have put forth a nice video short that looks at the Coastal Bend of Texas after Hurricane Harvey.

From Fly Fish Rockport:

“This video was filmed over two days in mid December. Our goal was not just to showcase the fishing we have to offer in the waters surrounding Rockport, Texas, but more importantly, share with people the status of things along the Coastal Bend. Hurricane Harvey has forever changed the Coastal Bend of Texas. Many lost their homes. Businesses were destroyed. And the rebuilding process will take years to complete. But Texans are strong and those efforts are well underway already. There is an apparent disconnect between people living up North and with what is really happening in those areas hit hardest by Hurricane Harvey. So we feel it is important to share with folks how things are going today on the Gulf Coast. And while everything may not be perfect, or the same as many remember it, it is still the same great place with the same great people. Please share this video to update folks on how Rockport, Port Aransas and our other coastal communities are doing. The fishing and tourist community can and will pick back up, and the gulf coast will continue to rebuild. ”
