From Temple Fork Outfitters:
While some may contest that properly executed spey casts are the finest form of fly casting, we would probably all agree that these casts are visually compelling, personally gratifying and a wonderful way to present a fly to a fish.
After introducing the Deer Creek Spey rod family nearly 11-years ago, a new precedent was established in affordable–high performance two-handed rods.
Keeping with the wildly popular, progressive-regressive rod action that allows a caster to easily and efficiently load the rod from tip to butt, performing a variety of sustained anchor and touch-and-go style casts.
In that time we at TFO have felt the need to further push rod design and functionality, and because of that, we have made some improvements to the Deer Creek Spey family.
In order to accommodate the nomadic angling enthusiast we have reconfigured the family to five-piece models to increase pack ability and travel freedom. The slim, reconstituted cork handle allows for ergonomic handling and durability in the wettest fishing conditions. Rods are also now finished with stainless steel, Tactical Series stripping guides and ultra-lightweight chromium impregnated stripping guides.
From traditional lines, to modern scandi lines and skagit heads, this four rod family is offered in a 12’6” 5/6, 13’0” 6/7, 13’0” 7/8 and 13’6” 8/9-weights.
The NEW Deer Creek five-piece spey rods retail for $469.95-$479.95.
