It is with great enthusiasm that we announce PROVIDENCE – the upcoming fly fishing film from Confluence Films.
Set to release on October 15th, PROVIDENCE takes on Providence Atoll – a remote atoll in the Indian Ocean that was closed to access until recently due to fears of run-ins with Somali pirates. (Yeah, that sounds about as adventurous as it gets!) With access granted, Camille Egdorf joined Gerhard Laubscher and Tim Babich of FlyCastaway (featured in WAYPOINTS) along with Chris Patterson, Colin Witherill, and Jim Klug to capture the trilling flats action found at Providence Atoll.
Providence Atoll has it all. Giant trevally, bumpheaded parrotfish, tiggerfish, bluefin trevally, bonefish, permit, and milkfish are among the critters found in these flats, and viewers can expect high-quality professional footage as well as aerial action by way of drone and some sweet underwater shots.

Confluence Films has received great praise for DRIFT, RISE, CONNECT, and WAYPOINTS – films that all explore the possibilities and richness of a range of destinations. In PROVIDENCE, viewers will experience the adventure of one destination in an approximately 75-minute film adventure. In addition to premiers in numerous destinations on October 15th, PROVIDENCE will also be available on DVD and on iTunes.
We look forward to providing updates, trailers, and behind the scenes photos soon. Until then, to check out more on PROVIDENCE from Confluence Films, please click here.
