Through his paintings, Michael Meyer beautifully captures the beauty of fly fishing.
Meyer’s work emphasizes an enormous range of aspects of fly fishing, from numerous species and their unique physical characteristics to flies, boats, and anglers in pursuit. In all of this, Meyer takes his own unique approach. Meyer states, “I prefer a bolder color style and often use colors that may not be the natural colors of the subject matter, thus, ‘My Style’ of expression.”
Meyer has been painting for over 50 years and has taken on many mediums. He enjoys frequently painting with a painting knife, and he currently paints in acrylics with occasional watercolors.
