FTC Disclosure for the Venturing Angler

The statements below are intended to satisfy the regulations of the Federal Trade Commission.

1. The Venturing Angler does not post anything it does not believe to be true.

2. The Venturing Angler posts product reviews and does not positively review any product it does not find worthy of the positive review. To avoid damaged relationships within the fly fishing industry, the Venturing Angler does not post reviews for products that we dislike. Sometimes, we are able to keep products we review. Receiving material goods does not influence the reviews.

3. The Venturing Angler often posts favorable statements about fly fishing guides, lodges, and fly shops. Often, these guides, lodges, and shops have business relationships with the Venturing Angler. Most often, these groups or individuals are advertisers on the Fly Fishing Guide Directory, or we have benefited from a relationship with these groups or individuals in some way. We maintain that despite such relationships, we do not post anything we do not believe is true.

4. The fly fishing industry is a small network of professionals. As such, it is inevitable that we often post about industry friends or businesses that we receive discounts or other benefits from. We maintain that despite such relationships, we do not post anything we do not believe is true.
