Video: Backcountry Argentina Golden Dorado from Todd Moen

From Todd Moen and Catch Magazine is a great video of fly fishing the backcountry of Argentina for a treasured fish for many fly anglers: the golden dorado.

From the filmmaker:

“Salta Province in NW Argentina is the only place on earth where you can consistently catch large freshwater dorado (Salminus maxilosus) on small, clear streams.
Parque Nacional del Rey in Salta is located in the transition zone between the high altitude Andes range and the Yunga, an extension of the Amazon watershed.”

  1. Superb filming, definitely my kind of holiday. Just one small thing to note: get rid of those big barbs on those big flies.
