For many years Jamie Howard has been providing incredible footage of anglers on the hunt. From In Search of a Rising Tide, which highlighted the pursuits of Andros bonefish pioneers, Andy Smith and Charlie Neymour, to the tarpon obsession of Andy Mill in the Chasing Silver series, Howard has captured some of the best in saltwater angling (in addition to a recent film on bass).
Now combining both saltwater and bass, Howard will soon be unveiling his new project, Running the Coast. Documenting mid-Atlantic and Northeastern striper angling, Howard’s new focus looks to be a bit less tropical but no less hot, as the passion for eastern striped bass is nothing short of infamous.
From Howard Films:
“The film about the Striped Bass migration began in The Chesapeake Bay in Virginia and follows the fish and the anglers who love them through New Jersey, Rhode Island, New York City, and The Hamptons, Montauk, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts and up to Maine. Conventional World Record Holder Greg Myerson makes the boat shake with both his enthusiasm and his fish catches. His innovations are changing the sport. Along the way we fish from beaches and chase stripers in shallow water and blitzes with fly rods as well in moments that make your heart race.”
