Following a recent trip to Colorado in which my checked baggage was returned by the airline soaked (all-the-way-through!), I decided to invest a little more in a trip bag. Trips, after all, are an important use of time and money with a great deal (including hope!) invested.
The bag that caught my eye and has been my companion since was the Patagonia Black Hole Duffel.
For hard-core climbers, traveling surfers, big-trip fly anglers, you name it, this bag is legit. Although a duffel, the bag can be worn as a backpack — excellent for being on the move, especially when slowed by weight. The bag has an indestructible look and feel and it almost is so: the duffel has a water-repellant finish and comes with Patagonia’s famous guarantee.
The Black Hole Duffel comes in four sizes: 45L, 60L, 90L, and 120L.
