From Greys:
COLUMBIA, S.C. (Oct 15, 2026) — Today’s fly anglers expect more from a reel than dependable performance alone – they want modern design, smooth fish-fighting capabilities and versatility without paying a premium for features they don’t need. The new Greys Pace fly reel delivers that balance in a refined, everyday reel built around a die–cast aluminum frame and bar-stock drag core, combining strength, balance and reliability anglers expect from Greys at a price point that makes quality fly fishing gear more accessible.
The enclosed multi-pad disc drag system delivers smooth, consistent performance, providing dependable control and ample stopping power while maintaining the fine tippet protection needed when targeting wary fish. The large-arbour, narrow-spool design promotes rapid line pickup and helps reduce line memory, while generous porting allows line and backing to dry quickly between outings.
The Pace is also available in a Cassette model, adding maximum versatility with fast, secure spool changes through an innovative push-on / push-off retention system. Each Cassette reel includes two additional spare cassette spools, making it easy to carry multiple lines without the cost, bulk or weight of an extra fly reel.
With its refined styling, balanced feel and purpose-driven design, Pace delivers the features anglers need without the unnecessary complexity or cost. The result is a fly reel that offers beauty, strength, smooth performance and everyday versatility. Pace is the ideal choice for anglers looking for dependable Greys performance at an approachable price point.
“Pace is built around the idea that anglers shouldn’t have to sacrifice performance or style to get exceptional value. From the smooth, consistent drag to the lightweight construction and large-arbour design, every element serves a purpose. It’s a reel that delivers the performance anglers need, with the refined look and feel they want,” said Jake Fischenich, Brand and Product Manager for Greys.
