Tigerfish are regarded by many as the most fierce and aggressive freshwater fish an angler can target with a fly rod. And it is the pursuit of these fish in Tanzania that is the focus of a new film coming to the International Fly Fishing Film Festival.
From the IF4:
“Dhala What You Must carries audiences deep into the remote wilds of Tanzania. Against a rugged and unforgiving landscape, South African filmmaker Simon Kay confronts what it takes to pursue one of Africa’s most coveted freshwater predators, the tigerfish. Grit, patience and obsession collide in a place where nothing comes easy. A Fly Fishing Nation film. Only at the International Fly Fishing Film Festival (extended cut) in 2026!”
