There is news from Redington with the announcement of a revamp of their Predator rod series.
From Redington:
Redington just launched the newest version of a long-time industry favorite—the Predator Rod. This rod not only has a fresh new look, but it’s also been fully adapted to meet the needs of the saltwater angler.
They’re new redesign brings a fresh new look to a brand on the up on and up. It’s a sleek looking rod with a light metallic blue finish that looks sweet with their new bead blasted anodized aluminum reel seat.
Redington has continued to use its “Nano Resin Graphite,” previously used on their EDC rod. This technology seems to be working well for them, as the new Predator Salt touts boosted power, responsiveness, and increased fish fighting potency.
In a departure from the previous generation of Predator the new Salt version has fully committed to the saltwater game. With chrome-plated, stainless-steel guides, a fully anodized reel seat, and a useful “hidden” hook keeper tucked neatly under the cork.
This rod is one to watch out for in the saltwater game. To get a truly capable saltwater rod with all the features at just $379 is a big deal, and if it casts half as nice as it looks, Redington has a serious player on the flats.
