The Tongass National Forest is sacred to anglers, hunters, Native Americans, and more. Nicknamed “the last salmon forest,” the Tongass is a lush rainforest in Southeast Alaska that simply seems untouched.
Sadly, the Trump Administration continues to pave the way (literally) for development, and now the Tongass is up for grabs. Here comes logging, and here comes roads. Roads ruin wilderness forever. Sadly this is indisputable, and the last salmon forest will never be the same.
